With approximately 400,000-450,000 Americans and over 2.5 million people globally affected by multiple sclerosis, many of these individuals often seek consultations from new healthcare providers. The nature of multiple sclerosis as a complex chronic disease without a cure can induce anxiety and apprehension among patients referred to a specialist before receiving a formal diagnosis. Pre-Meet: Multiple Sclerosis serves as a resource aimed at alleviating the concerns of such patients and offers valuable insights into the neurological examination process, as well as guidance on post-appointment steps, including information on multiple sclerosis and its relapses.
The app has been developed based on real-life situations where patients arrived unprepared for appointments, lacking necessary medical records and test results due to lack of information.
